Position Overview
The Customer Operations Analyst is responsible for working with the customer to align expectations and operational performance. This position is responsible for identifying and executing on opportunities to improve on service and cost for the customer. The person in this role will manage and ensure execution of customer promotions and major events.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Identify opportunities to improve service into consignee and customer locations; create and
implement solutions based on findings
Provide reporting and actions using standard CJ tools for carrier performance, consignee
performance, and volume spike impacts
Respond to all Customer requests for information
Facilitate regularly scheduled customer phone meetings, including updating customer action
item registers
Ensure customer promotions and events are communicated internally and executed flawlessly
Manage performance to Retailer expectations
Partner with CJL Warehouse and customer manufacturing shipping locations ensure volumes
can be supported
Support Customer invoicing processes
May be required to be on call and work as part of a Saturday rotation
Perform other related job duties as assigned or required
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
3 years of experience in transportation or a service related position
Strong skills in MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with specialization in Logistics, Transportation or Supply Chain Management
TMS experience
Google and MS PPT experience
Physical Requirements
This is largely a sedentary role requiring the physical ability to:
Sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk while working on a computer
Use hands and fingers to operate a keyboard, mouse, and telephone
Speak and hear clearly in person, virtually, and over the phone
Occasionally stand, walk, reach, stoop, or lift up to 10 pounds
- Salary: Your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. We anticipate this role to pay a minimum salary of $58,000, but actual base pay will depend on the successful candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience

Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and printers.
The work environment is typically quiet to moderate in noise level and is climate controlled.
Location/Remote Eligibility
This is a hybrid role based out of our (Des Plaines, IL) office. Regular, on-site presence is required (4) days per week or as otherwise directed by the company.
Schedule
Flexible hours may be required to support deadlines or cross-functional collaboration.
